This notice describes the information handled by the current SafetyFluent website. Paid enrollment is not yet open. Our Cookies Policy explains browser storage and controls.
Notice at collection
Safety Fluent LLC collects the following categories through this platform. We do not sell these categories or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. Collection is limited to the functions you use; you do not have to submit optional feedback or subscribe to news.
- Identifiers and account information
- Account ID, name and email from you or the sign-in provider; learner assignment details from an authorized purchaser. Used for authentication, course access, communications and rights requests.
- Commercial information
- Order references, course selections, seat quantities, organization, billing state and ZIP, payment status and referral information. Used to administer orders, taxes, seat assignments and support. Live payment collection is not yet enabled.
- Learning and activity records
- Lessons, assessment answers and scores, completion dates, certificates, verification consent, course-update read status, newsletter preferences and optional feedback. Used to deliver training, document completion, verify credentials and administer your choices.
- Internet activity and technical information
- Request logs may include IP address and browser information; application storage includes language and study preferences. Used for service operation, security and relevant catalog ordering.
- Optional demonstration photographs
- An administrator demonstration may include a voluntarily submitted photo. This is not required for production course completion and is not a promise of biometric identity verification.
Retention for each category is based on its purpose: active account and service administration; training and certificate verification; transaction, dispute and legal requirements; security investigations; or the duration of the relevant preference. We have not implemented a universal automatic deletion schedule. Six-month course access is not a six-month retention period. See the retention sections below and browser-storage lifetimes.
Service providers and permitted recipients are described below. Request access, correction or deletion, or ask about your privacy choices.
California privacy rights
Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of information collected about them, sources, purposes and categories of recipients; correction of inaccurate information; deletion subject to legal exceptions; and a portable copy where applicable. You have the right to opt out of sale or sharing and to limit qualifying uses of sensitive personal information where those activities occur, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising protected rights. We do not sell information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use sensitive information to infer characteristics for advertising.
Submit a request through our privacy request instructions. An authorized agent may act for you with appropriate authority; we may verify your identity directly. For requests covered by the CCPA, receipt is acknowledged within 10 business days and a substantive response is due within 45 calendar days of receipt. A permitted extension of up to 45 additional days requires notice and a reason. We will explain a permitted refusal or retention exception. This policy does not represent that Safety Fluent LLC meets the CCPA business thresholds; we review applicability as the business grows.
Global Privacy Control is an opt-out signal, not permission to track. Necessary sign-in and learning records remain necessary when GPC is enabled. We currently have no sale/sharing advertising integration; any future one must honor applicable opt-out preference signals before activation.
Information collected
When you sign in, the hosting authentication service supplies an account identifier, email and, when available, name. We store assigned courses, access dates, lesson progress, assessment responses and results, certificate records and public-verification consent. Order records can include contact details, organization, course, quantity, billing state and ZIP, discounts and referral information. Hosting and security services may process technical request logs.
Why information is used
Information supports account access, learning progress, assessments, course assignments, certificate verification, support and protection against misuse. Course-selection events record the selected course and time to order the catalog by recent interest. That event table does not store your name, account identifier or email; hosting request logs are separate.
Certificates and public lookup
Before an assessment starts, you are asked to agree to public lookup of your submitted name, course, issue date, score and certificate status by anyone with the certificate ID or QR link. This is a training record, not proof of verified identity. Production course certificates do not require a photo. Administrator demonstration records are separate and may include a photo with consent; they are marked as demonstrations.
Service providers
The website uses Sites hosting and authentication and Cloudflare infrastructure for processing and storage. Information needed to operate these functions passes through those services. External source links and videos have their own privacy policies. Stripe is being prepared for payments; live checkout remains unavailable. Payment-card details should only be entered on an enabled payment provider checkout, never in course forms or messages.
Browser storage
Our Cookies Policy lists application storage, purposes and lifetimes, including language preferences, administrator authentication and local demonstration/study state. Some local state can include a name, email or order reference. Paid enrollment, assessment results and issued course records are controlled by the server. Clearing browser storage does not erase those server records.
Retention
Course access lasts six calendar months after assignment. This is an access period, not a promise to delete learning or certificate records after six months. Records may need to remain available for verification, support, disputes and applicable obligations. A demonstration record expiring from public lookup does not mean every stored copy or backup has been deleted.
Privacy requests and launch status
SafetyFluent is being prepared for commercial launch. Safety Fluent LLC operates the platform and is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Use the contact below for privacy requests. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Do not submit identity documents, medical information or financial account details through the course interface.
Course updates and optional news
Updates to an assigned course appear automatically in My Workspace during active access, separately from promotional news. We store read status so it follows your account across devices. The free newsletter is optional: creating an account or purchasing a course does not automatically opt you in. You can subscribe or unsubscribe in My Workspace. We store your account email, preference, and dated consent or withdrawal records. Email delivery is not currently active; saved newsletter preferences do not mean a message has been sent. The service is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
Security and updates
The published site uses HTTPS and account-based access controls. No system can promise absolute security. We will update this notice when the actual services or data practices change. Additional notices and consent will be provided where applicable before introducing new uses of personal information.
Additional sources and records
We receive information you submit in course, order, feedback and support forms. Course evaluations can contain learner names, ratings and written feedback. An employer or authorized purchaser may supply assignment details. Technical logs can include IP addresses and browser information. These are not inherently anonymous. Administrator Stripe sandbox transactions are tests, not paid enrollments. When live payments are enabled, transaction references, payment status and necessary order information will support fulfillment and refunds; the payment provider handles card entry.
Who can receive information
Authorized administrators can access information needed for support and service operation. An employer purchaser may access assignment and training-status information made available for its seats; this is not permission to inspect unrelated personal account information. We may disclose records where required by law or reasonably needed to investigate abuse, protect rights or respond to a legal claim, subject to applicable safeguards. We do not operate a program that sells learner information or shares it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Private feedback is not automatically permission to publish a named testimonial.
Study assistant and sensitive information
Current study-assistant examples use prepared course responses rather than a live external AI model. We will provide updated information before enabling an external AI service that receives learner questions. Do not submit patient details, health histories, government identifiers, passwords or confidential employer information in questions or feedback. An administrator demonstration photo, if provided with consent, is processed for that demonstration and can be displayed through its verification link; do not upload another person's photo without authority.
How to exercise your rights
Email the support address below with the subject Privacy request, your account email and the action requested: access, a copy, correction, deletion or review of a decision. An authorized agent may contact us with evidence of authority. We may need proportionate identity verification to protect records from unauthorized disclosure; do not send an ID document unless a secure, necessary process has been agreed. We will respond within deadlines required by applicable law and explain any permitted refusal, extension or retained records. You may request review of a refusal at the same address and contact your state attorney general or relevant privacy authority. We do not penalize legally protected requests. Rights depend on your location and the law's applicability; this notice does not claim every state privacy law applies to every visitor.
Public verification choices
Contact us to request correction of an inaccurate certificate record or discuss withdrawing consent to public display. Removing public display and deleting an underlying completion record are different requests; retention obligations and fraud prevention may limit deletion. Restricting public lookup can affect QR verification. Copies already obtained by other people may remain outside our control. Do not share a certificate link publicly unless you want its displayed information accessible.
Retention criteria and deletion limits
Retention depends on the record's purpose: account operation, completion verification, support, transaction reconciliation, legal obligations and dispute resolution. A legal hold can require continued preservation. The current platform does not promise automatic deletion on a fixed schedule for every category. Contact us for a record-specific request; we will explain any applicable retention restriction. Browser storage lifetimes are described separately in the Cookies Policy.
Processing locations and external links
Hosting and other providers may process information in the United States and other locations where their infrastructure operates. We do not promise Pennsylvania-only or United States-only storage. Browsing the website is not a blanket waiver of privacy rights or a substitute for any legally required international-transfer safeguard. Additional jurisdiction-specific requirements must be assessed before expanding to new markets. Following an external link, including to a video or Construction Plan Studio, sends a request to that service and may reveal technical information such as your IP address.
Browser privacy signals
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are different signals. DNT does not currently change necessary site operations. GPC is not consent to tracking; the current application has no sale/sharing or targeted-advertising program to opt out of. Neither signal deletes learning records. Any future advertising or data-sharing integration must be reviewed for applicable consent and opt-out requirements before activation.
